Jay McGee

Jay joined Mid America as the Managing Partner in July 2020. He has a focus on risk management and has obtained his CRM (Certified Risk Manager) designation, along with his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. Jay started in the insurance industry in 2008 and has helped hundreds of businesses with their insurance and risk management needs.
Jay has volunteered with several non-profit organizations throughout the community and enjoys volunteering in his free time. He was a member of the Leadership McLean County class of 2020.
Jay attended Kent State University where he was a member of the wrestling team. That is where he met his wife, Annie (Butts), who was attending Kent State on a volleyball scholarship. After college they decided to move back to Bloomington where Annie was from. They have a son and daughter. Annie and Jay have both completed Ironman Wisconsin in different years and enjoy competing in triathlons, and anything related to being outdoors with their kids.
